What's happening near Sol? Everything. The main venues this year—Conde Duque, Templo de Debod, Teatro Español—are all a quick 20-minute walk from our front door. No metro needed. For example, the Teatro Español is literally 700 metres from Inter Puerta del Sol. Our advice: grab the official programme the second you check in. The best stuff fills up fast.

What if Veranos de la Villa isn't your thing?
Maybe the festival isn't your vibe. That’s fine. The city centre is always on. You can hit the Mercado de San Miguel for tapas, check out the Almudena Cathedral, or go shopping on Gran Vía. The festival is intense. But it's not the only thing happening. What we know from working here is that the crowds stick to the event venues, so just sidestep those specific squares and theatres if you want a more low-key night.
